My name is Lydia and I own and run Paws For Thought Solihull.
I first started dog walking when I was at junior school when I volunteered to walk my neighbours’ dogs. As soon as I had my own home, I got my first dog. That was more than 35 years ago. I currently have a rescue dog called Sylva, who I adopted in 2025.
I have always loved animals and my passion for dog walking and pet care has been greatly inspired and motivated by the success I had with my first rescue dog, Sox. When I adopted her in 2011 she was malnourished and suffering from acute behavioural issues having been severely mistreated. However, I am delighted to say that with much love and patience she was transformed into a happy, calm little dog who was very well behaved, sociable and enjoyed her life to her very last day. Her transformation inspires me every day in my journey with Sylva.
My passion for dogs has led to me setting up my own dog walking and home boarding service.
I have full insurance coverage for all of the services offered and provide professional documentation for each client to cover the requirements and services for their pet.
I am 5-Star Licensed as a Home Boarder by Solihull Council (Licence No. 23/05152/ALACRE), am a Member of Licensed Dog Care Professionals UK, am DBS checked and have dog first aid training.
